What To Expect

Why get a tutor?

How does the process work?

Tutors can help students save time because they can use their experience to show how to think about a problem. They also offer additional motivation for working on difficult subjects.

1) Make an appointment to talk with the tutor to discuss reasons for getting a tutor and to provide information about
what you are studying. This allows the tutor to prepare for you upcoming tutoring session

2.   I tutor students in the Chemistry Building on the UW-Madison campus. (1101 University Ave). I meet with students near the doorway of the lobby of the chemistry building at the intersection of . University Ave. and Mills.  There should be several bike racks in front of the entrance.

3. Tutoring is charged by a fixed fee per tutoring session to provide flexiblity for both the student and tutor.  A tutoring session is defined as an hour to an hour and a half of time.

4. Payment after the tutoring session.
