Large college lecture halls and overflowing high school classes require impersonal and passive methods of learning. Students
often feel like a number and find it difficult to ask questions, especially in front of their peers. Because students are
often forced to figure everything out by themselves, they sometimes do it in an inefficient manner because of numerous dead-ends
in problem solving. The swelling dearth of teachers are adding to the growing pains of American education.
In order
to address this educational crisis, Scientific Tutoring was founded to provide an alternative aid and means of learning in
math and science for the city of Madison, WI. Math classes include Algebra, Geometry, Statististics, Calculus, Differential
equations. Science classes include Physics, Chemistry, Physiology, Biochemistry and Engineering courses.
Scientific
Tutoring realizes the time pressures of students and addresses this problem by providing tutoring in a personalized atmosphere.
Students save time because they get instant feedback from the questions they ask. Dead-ends in problem solving are also caught
early in the bud.
